Beijing Sunslion International Architecture & Landscape Design Co., Ltd. (SLD) was founded in Beijing in 2004. Led by its chief designer, the studio is devoted to original work and to its signature folded-plane design.
We let the language of art converse with architecture. Grounded in a human-centred spirit and in Chinese philosophies of space, every project begins with a theme — so that each work is whole, imaginative and, ultimately, free.
Representative works include Longyun Cultural City, Taishan Residences, Taishan Commune (cultural tourism), Hongye Town and the Ranqing karting park at Qiandao Lake. Most of them span planning, architecture, landscape, interiors and visual identity — what we call total design.

Fan Shengdong
Chief Designer & Founder
Born in Liaoning in 1972, he graduated in oil painting from the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 1996 and has practised architecture and art in Beijing since 1997.
Chief designer of Sunslion since 2003; China Top-10 Residential Designer award of excellence (2005); co-founded SUNSLION DESIGN in the UK (2006); Shandong Provincial Planning & Design Award for Longyun Cultural City (2009); Master of Architectural Engineering, Tsinghua University (2017).
More than twenty-five years leading projects from interiors to architecture and landscape — an artist's eye joined to an architect's craft, always original.

Born in Shanxi in 1984; civil engineering graduate, Class-1 Registered Constructor and Class-1 Registered Fire Engineer.
Leads architectural programming, scheme design and real-estate design development, with over a decade of hands-on experience.

Ji Hong
Sculptor
Graduated from the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts in 1997; visiting scholar under Prof. Li Xiangqun at Tsinghua's Academy of Arts & Design (2010–2012); MFA in Sculpture, Tsinghua University (2015–2021).
Sculpture assistant for the exhibition 'The Light of Chaos — Liu Jude' (2017); known for the series 'Floating · Imagery'.
Rong Wei

Born in Liaoning in 1972; studied photography at the Luxun Academy of Fine Arts (1995) and the Beijing Film Academy (1997).
Brings a photographer's eye and a rare insight to every project.

Designer
Born in Liaoning in 1998; BSc in Environmental Science & Engineering, Shaanxi University of Science & Technology (2020); studying art & design at Xi'an University of Architecture and Technology since 2022.
